Great Western Runners was founded at The Myrtle Tree in Hotwells in July 1984 by a group of Bristolian running enthusiasts and are a friendly and inclusive running club who welcome all abilities of runners from all backgrounds.

GWR host the Towpath races, a highly popular series of 10k races with a 5k to finish off with on Friday 18th August: Enter here

Committee members John Cox and Kelly Dicks, active runners, also host the SingleMaltMarathoners podcast, Bristols own weekly running show.

GWR meet at Redland Green Club on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Come along and run for free!
