ItWasNeverAPhaseRunClub was created for the ones who found comfort in pop punk lyrics and clarity in long runs. Raised on the sounds of blink-182, All Time Low, and A Day To Remember, we grew up screaming every word — and we’re still carrying that same energy into every mile.

What started as a shared love of music and miles has grown into a community focused on connection, mental wellbeing, and supporting local charities. Fast riffs, honest lyrics, and steady strides — that’s what brings us together.

A huge part of what we do is our Monday Men’s Club — a 5KM run every Monday evening designed to bring men together to socialise, open up, and get fitter in a supportive environment. We always finish with a coffee and cake, and two simple but important questions:
How are you really doing?
What is one thing you’re grateful for?

Our signature running slogan, “I’m just a runner and life is a nightmare,” was born from our pop punk roots — turning angst into miles and lyrics into motivation. Alongside our club merch, developed by Pop Punk Classics, every piece represents the energy, nostalgia, and community that define us.

We run to clear our heads.
We run to support each other.
We run because it was never just a phase.
