Avon Wildlife Trust
We’re delighted to welcome Avon Wildlife Trust back to the Bristol Running Show.
Avon Wildlife Trust is the region’s largest local charity dedicated to protecting wildlife and inspiring people across the West of England — covering Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset.
They manage 30 nature reserves — from ancient bluebell woods and wildflower meadows to wetlands near the Severn Estuary — caring for habitats that give wildlife space to recover and thrive. Across their sites they manage almost 800 hectares of prime habitat, much of it free for the public to explore.
Beyond reserves, their work supports nature’s recovery at a landscape scale: working with landowners and partners to create bigger, better, more connected habitats, so wildlife can move, feed, breed, and flourish. And as part of the wider network of 46 Wildlife Trusts, Avon Wildlife Trust contributes to a national movement for nature’s recovery — including the “30 by 30” ambition.
Come and say hello at the show — whether you’re curious about local reserves, volunteering, or simple ways to help wildlife where you live.
