Isaac Alcaide – RunningCoach200
I’m Isaac Alcaide, a Bristol-based Certified Running Coach (UESCA), coaching since 2019. I work with runners of all abilities, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, helping them progress safely, consistently, and with confidence. My coaching philosophy is simple: create a structured and enjoyable environment where athletes can thrive physically and mentally, whether they’re training for their first 5K or preparing for a demanding 100-mile ultra.
I specialise in bespoke training programmes tailored to each runner’s goals, lifestyle, and current fitness. My approach combines evidence-informed endurance training with practical sport nutrition guidance, injury avoidance strategies, and Mental Skills Training in Sport. I want athletes to feel strong not just in their legs, but in their mindset building focus, resilience, and better decision-making when training gets tough or race-day pressure builds. For me, great coaching goes beyond mileage and pace: it’s about building robust, repeatable habits that lead to long-term improvement.
To reduce guesswork and optimise training, I also offer lactate testing services to help runners train at the right intensity. Alongside this, I provide running technique assessments to improve efficiency and lower injury risk, plus one-to-one sessions for runners who benefit from hands-on coaching and targeted feedback.
Over the years, I’ve helped many runners start their ultra-running journey safely and confidently, and I’ve supported athletes chasing personal bests across road, trail, and mountain races. What drives me most is seeing runners improve from the very first session and watching their confidence grow step by step. My goal is to help you enjoy the process as much as the outcome, and discover what you’re capable of along the way.
