Staple Hill Runners
Staple Hill Runners are a community running group in Staple Hill for all abilities (ages 16+).
They meet Thursdays, 6:30pm at the main entrance gates to Page Park, Staple Hill.All sessions are free and led by a qualified coach and run leaders. Sessions are designed to cater for mixed abilities from beginners to experienced runners and feature shorter, interval type running.
SHR believe in providing inclusive training opportunites so typically a session will take place in a designated area such as Hill House Park, Page Park, Pomphrey Hill, or a roads loop (in the winter) so that everyone can run together and not get left behind.
Intervals are short bursts of running (e.g. 1-5mins) with recoveries in between and are a great way to improve fitness but also suitable for those who are new to or returning to running. Sessions can push you as hard as you like or you can choose to run socially or steady, it doesn’t matter as long as you enjoy it!
