Anne Dockery 2023
Anne Dockery began running at 55, after being diagnosed with bronchiectasis, a lung condition affecting the airways. She was living in the United States at the time. When she returned to the UK in 2018 at the age of 70, she was looking for new challenges.
In 2018 Anne became world champion at the ITU Duathlon World Championships in Fyn, Denmark in the Female 70-74 age group Sprint.
In August later that year Ann won gold in the 400m at the British Masters Athletics Championships. The following month at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga, Spain, Ann won Gold helping set a new British record in the 400m relay as well as Bronze medals in the 800m, 1500m and the 5000m.
